Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Course like?

How long is the course to complete

Our class is primarily a self-paced reading course, with certain portions featuring narration, videos and activities that make it more interesting and enjoyable.

Does the course expire?

The State of Ohio requires that you complete the course within 6 months of when you start. If you don't finish it in time, you'll be locked out and have to start over from the beginning. If that happens, give us a call and we'll make sure you don't have to pay again.

What if I fail the course final exam?

You will have 3 attempts to pass the final test. If you don't pass, you'll need to wait 24 hours before you can try again. In the event that you fail three times, the state requires that you take the course over from the beginning. We guarantee that you'll pass -- if you don't, we'll give you the course again for free until you do! (Just give us a call.)

Can I immediately begin the course?

Yes and No. The State of Ohio requires all course providers of the course to verify your identity before you can start the course. Since you’re a minor, we do that by verifying the identity of your parent or guardian. We try to do this automatically so you can start the course immediately. In most cases, if they have a social security number and have lived in the United States for at least 3 years, you’ll be able to start immediately. If we can't automatically verify their identity, then they must complete and notarize the 2Cool Parent Affidavit. Once we have that, you'll be able to start.
